11 Saipan beaches red-flagged

The Division of Environmental Quality has red-flagged 11 beach sites on Saipan after samples showed excessive concentrations of fecal indicator bacteria. DEQ advises the public not to fish or swim within 300 feet of these locations for the next 48 hours or until otherwise notified.

Edna Mae Nadratowski dies at 95 Edna Mae Nadratowski, of Chesterton, passed away Monday, Aug. 18, 2008 in Valparaiso. She was 95. She was born May 5, 1913 in Valparaiso the daughter of William and Mary (Affeld) Steinhagen, both of whom preceded her in death.
