  • Everyday Scientist " The Truth About Tesla: "Basicall y, Tesla argues that their car is 2-times as energy efficient as a Hybrid and emits about 1/2 as much greenhouse gas IF the electricity comes from the most efficient Natural Gas generator. I thought this was a bit disingenuous, so I redid some of their calculations for more modern cars compared to their Tesla specs, and used the US electricity mixture (around 50% coal, 20% Natural Gas, 20% Nuclear, 10% other) for the energy source."
